Maria was born in California but moved to Sioux City at a young age. She was first an RN at Mercy Medical Center and served as a cardiology nurse in the Post Critical Care Unit. She was also a part-time adjunct clinical instructor for Briar Cliff University while she was in school for her nurse practitioner degree. After obtaining her Master’s degree, she gained experience in the Otolaryngology/ENT specialty for a few years working with head and neck surgeons and providing medical services for the prevention of diseases, allergies, neoplasms, deformities, disorders, and/or injuries of the ears, nose, sinuses, throat, and other head and neck systems prior to transitioning to neurology. She also works PRN urgent care.
Maria is a Certified Inspire Sleep Apnea provider. Sher recently was named Inspire Provider of Excellence and is Optimizing Outcomes Certified, helping her patients obtain quality sleep without the use of a C-pap machine.
Maria married her college sweetheart and has two children. She loves to spend time with family, work out, and attend live sports and music events.
