Industrial Therapy at CNOS
CNOS is excited to announce the addition of Elijah Dirkx DPT, a highly qualified Industrial Therapist, to our clinical team! Elijah is passionate about patient education, biomechanics, and injury prevention. He takes great pride in facilitating recovery and empowering patients to return to the activities that bring them joy. Elijah will be working mostly with our worker’s compensation and occupational medicine populations.
An industrial therapist specializes in:
- Assessment, treatment, and management of individuals who have been affected by injuries, illnesses, or disorders that limit their ability to function in the workplace.
- Working to improve ergonomics, prevent injuries, and rehabilitate workers who have been injured on the job.
- Training employees on safe lifting techniquest and proper body mechanics to reduce the risk of injury and enhance workplace efficiency and employee well-being.
*Elijah will be trained in the performance of FCE’s (functional capacity evaluation) and pre-employement job screens.
Meet Your Therapist!
Elijah graduated from Morningside University in 2021 and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 2025. He has a strong background in post-operative and sports physical therapy, with experience across hospital, outpatient, and industrial settings.
Outside of the clinic, Elijah is active in his church and enjoys coaching wrestling, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time outdoors–especially hiking with this wife, Morgan, and their dog, Chuck.
