Part-Time Occupational Therapist

We currently have an opening for a Part-Time Occupational Therapist. This position provides evaluation, program design, and implementation for therapy and treatment of upper extremity patients to facilitate maximum function and prevent dysfunction. Candidate must have bachelor’s degree or higher and graduate of an accredited occupational therapy (AOTA) program; current license to practice Occupational Therapy in South Dakota and Iowa; certified hand therapist preferred; hand therapy splint experience preferred. Neurologist

The Center for Neurosciences, Orthopedics and Spine (CNOS) in Dakota Dunes, SD /Sioux City Iowa is seeking to recruit an additional neurologist. A particularly good fit would be for a general neurologist with EEG/ EMG qualification. Fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology is highly desirable, but are open to other fellowship training.

All neurologists in the group are board certified with secondary board certification and expertise in a variety of areas including sleep disorders, clinical neurophysiology, Botox, and multiple sclerosis. There are two major hospitals and one surgical specialty hospital in our area, all very well equipped and held in very high regard in the region. Virtually all specialties are represented by the approximately 250 physicians on the active medical staffs . Hospital call is shared equally among the 5 current neurologists in the group. Inpatient call is consultative only.

Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer

Seeking candidates for positions at Morningside University, South Sioux City High School and Elk Point-Jefferson High School.

This candidate will provide preventative care, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. He/she will supervise the daily operation of the athletic training room to ensure smooth operation of the treatment and care of the student athletes. Works with athletes to rehab injuries and provide a plan for getting athletes back to game-ready status. Prepares athletes for practices and games by taping and wrapping and helping with modalities needed before the athlete participates. Provides coverage of games where necessary and works with athletes when any injuries arise during game play. Documenting injury notes and communicating with CNOS physicians on the care of student athletes.

Candidate will also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within the multiple ancillary services that CNOS provides, such as Sports Performance, Athletic Training coverage of area special events and outreach high schools, as well as our Orthopaedic Urgent Care.
