Aesthetic Procedures Offered at CNOS
Looking into your blepharoplasty
Upper lid blepharoplasty and Lower lid blepharoplasty are different procedures. The goal of upper lid blepharoplasty is to improve the visibility of your upper eyelid. The goal of lower lid blepharoplasty is to improve the contour of the lower lid and blend the eyelid-cheek junction. – In some cases an upper lid blepharoplasty can be performed to improve a patient’s visual fields and is often covered by insurance in that circumstance. A visual field test is required by an optometrist or ophthalmologist before surgery.
Enhancing your breasts
Breast Augmentation can be performed with implant placement or by performing liposuction and injecting your fat into the breasts to increase their volume. Breast implants are the more common choice by patients but there are pros and cons to both and we will be happy to discuss either or both of those options with you.
Turning back the clock
Breast lift, technically called a mastopexy, is surgery to lift and improve the shape of a woman’s breast that sags but has adequate size/volume that is proportionate with the body frame. The breast may have a flatter, elongated shape when unsupported. In many cases, the nipple falls below the breast crease, causing the nipple to point downward.
Restoring confidence
Breast reduction is a common procedure that may be covered by insurance. The procedure involves reducing the size of your breasts as well as lifting the nipple & areola to a more youthful position. – Patients interested in breast reduction often have back/neck pain, rash or skin breakdown under the breasts, and shoulder grooving from their bra. For most patients it is recommended that a mammogram be obtained before a breast reduction.
The stomach you have always wanted
A tummy tuck, also called an abdominoplasty, is performed to improve the contour and aesthetic appearance of the abdomen. Lipoabdominoplasty is when liposuction is performed as an adjunct procedure during an abdominoplasty to help improve your figure. – Women and men are potential candidates for an abdominoplasty. Patients often have a history of pregnancy or significant weight loss with resultant excess of skin and/or fat. Smoking is a contraindication for the procedure and patients’ weight should be around 10 pounds of their goal weight for at least 6 months.
Sculpting your ideal image
Liposuction is for body shaping and contouring stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. This procedure can reshape body contours where excess fat deposits create areas that are disproportionately large in an otherwise balanced figure. It is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. – It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite, the dimpled skin that typically appears on the thighs, hips and buttocks.
Improving Your Arm Contour
Brachioplasty, also called Arm lift, helps patients achieve an improved arm contour through the removal of skin and fat tissue. – Candidates for this procedure are often those who have undergone significant weight loss or those who have simply lost skin tone due to aging. A long scar is required for this procedure in exchange for an improved contour.
Restoring your figure
The Mommy Makeover is a combination of plastic surgery procedures that some women may elect to pursue after pregnancy. Pregnancy affects a woman’s breasts, abdominal muscles, skin elasticity, and sometimes weight gain.
Am I a good candidate for cosmetic surgery?
Deciding to have cosmetic surgery is a personal choice, and the best candidates are those who are healthy, have realistic expectations, and are looking to enhance, not completely change, their appearance. Ideal candidates often include individuals who:
- Are in good overall health and do not have conditions that could delay healing
- Maintain a stable weight and healthy lifestyle
- Have specific concerns they would like to improve through surgery
- Understand the benefits and limitations of the procedure
- Are seeking plastic surgery for themselves—not to satisfy someone else’s expectations
During your consultation, our surgeon will discuss your goals, review your medical history, and help determine if surgery is the right option for you. At CNOS, our priority is your safety, comfort, and confidence in making the decision that’s best for you.
